Best advice you’ve been given•Never wait for inspiration. When working on a painting let the painting “talk” to you. You give to it, and it will give back to you. Allow for the unexpected, accidental and surprising to occur.

Goals/Aspirations•I’m focused on the next show – a solo exhibit of my abstract paintings.

Favorite artist•Henri Matisse. I like the way he created compositions in space with interesting shapes and color.

What are you reading•The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History by Elizabeth Kolbert.

Hope to learn how to •Fly an airplane.

You spend a lot of time thinking about•Science: astronomy and physics are two favorite subjects.

Favorite musical artist•I like latin music. Mango Santamaria, Poncho Sanchez.

What do you do when not creating art •Waiting for the paint to dry.
