Favorite artist•Probably Joseph Cornell. His work was just so originally poetic for its time. I also absolutely love Rembrandt and Leonardo, for the psychological depth they were able to achieve through dramatic but subtle lighting.

Favorite musical artist•Hard to pick one, so here are a few: Fleet Foxes, The National, Jesse Sykes, Sufjan Stevens, Aimee Mann, Leonard Cohen—you get the idea.

What do you do when not creating art •Hanging out with family and friends, playing guitar (my wife says I torture it), exploring New York City, which I never get tired of.
