Best advice you’ve been given•That discipline and perseverance are just as important as talent. I’ve seen so many talented artists fail to succeed because they can’t discipline themselves to work hard. This is the hardest job I’ve ever had, but I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Goals/Aspirations•There is a whole other plane of vision and expression that I can sense but not quite see, like a skittish animal hiding in the shadows. I hope to find enough quiet in my mind to coax it out.

Favorite artist•I am hugely inspired by Victorian portrait photography and 17th century painting. In the world of photography however, I would have to say that the two artists who made me realize what I wanted to try and achieve are Garry Winogrand and Matt Mahurin.
