Favorite Picks•Candy Kisses is just plain fun. I love a piece that causes you to pause and linger. The texture is an automatic winner and a dream piece for any space. I would group the artist’s work for a show stopping display. Speckled Clay jumped out at me mostly because I love orange, it is the perfect shade of orange and feels sophisticated and fun at the same time. The photograph from Joshua Tree is versatile and dramatic. Black and white photography looks good in any type of aesthetic. It’s like throwing on a pair of comfortable blue jeans. Simple is good. Abstract art with a black and white palette is such a great contrast to any interior, but especially to a traditional aesthetic. Contrast is pleasing to the eye, Opposition would be gorgeous in any room.
Selecting Art•Choose art that brings out an emotion: calming, happy, curious, etc. If it grabs you, buy it. Go with your first impression, a connection with a piece of art is intuitive.
Why Buy Original Art?•Buying original art is important because we are all originals, our art should be too. Each piece in a home gives insight on the homeowner. Just like people that we surround ourselves with, art can shape our experience.
