Favorite Picks•I love the clouds in Cody Brother's Painted Desert, the contrast of the canyon and sky is powerful. Hat Trick is a fun photograph and makes me think of old time magic shows and trickery. The same photographer also created Three Flies and as a writer, her focus on the written word really appeals to me. Pandas, by Traer Scott is another favorite. Why? Well duh! Who doesn't love pandas? I like Trees, Vallecito Lake too, the drama of nature in this photo is so moving. Sea Swirl would look good above my aquarium, I like the color and the whimsical nature of it.

Selecting Art•The people and things you surround yourself with are important, choose a piece you love. It doesn't have to be a great investment - most of the art in my house was done by friends and family - it's personal, as it should be.

When you buy original art you are one step away from the time and energy that artist put into the craft and beauty they share with you. Commercial prints are like long distance communication.
