Ceiling Zero Small Room
Ceiling Zero is in the style of geometric abstraction. The painting is built up in layers overlapping each other creating depth and movement. It has an architectural quality and relates to the city. The perspective might seem to be looking down on the city’s grid or looking directly at buildings. Abstraction can bring different perspectives, viewpoints and images into play. Ceiling Zero has a discipline of using lines at 90 degree and 45 degree angles inter-spaced with area blocks of color.

Artist Statement

The artist adventure is an inward journey, a journey of ideas into little explored regions of the human consciousness. Such is the artistic quest, an examination in visual thought of the world and the imagination. One attempts to enter the depths of what it is to be and be human. Attaining and communicating visual knowledge. Worthwhile for the artist and hopefully the viewer as well.
