The sterling silver series plays with preconceived notions of scale as we migrate from large scale pieces to miniatures. Although tiny in size, these works hold as great of a presence as our larger pieces, as well as taking and equal amount of time and energy in the process. Furthermore, the metal chosen is sterling silver, elevating it to a precious commodity in material as well as function. By demanding an equal amount of space for the small-scale works as one would for large pieces, the viewer is forced into an intimate experience with the piece. Thus, the macro and micro are equalized; proving that bigger is equal, not better.
